Help Scout believes great service is great for business. So we built a product that helps companies deliver outstanding customer support. We’re committed to small businesses that love customers, and providing them with a simple product, free data-driven eBooks and ongoing content about customer loyalty.
The seeds for Help Scout were planted in 2005, when our founding team started a small web design company. By working with over 100 companies large and small, along with building a couple products of our own, we learned a lot about what small businesses need in order to make customers happy. First on the list was a simple way for teams to share an email inbox, which is where we started with Help Scout.
Help Scout got a big boost in early 2011, moving the team from Nashville to Boston and participating in the TechStars startup accelerator. Help Scout launched publicly in April, 2011. From day one, the Boston technology community has been incredible and has made us a (much) better company. Most of the team works from our office in Boston’s south end neighborhood.
Today several thousand people use Help Scout on a daily basis to deliver personalized customer support at scale. The vision hasn’t changed; our extraordinary passion for small businesses drives the product forward. If you love customers, we’d like Help Scout to be your help desk.
